Beach Wash Up

The beach at Phayun, Ban Chang, Thailand

Bit of a mess, but the trash has been washed up from what is called Marine Debris and who is responsible? We are think about the environment when throwing away your trash. It might end up polluting the beautiful beaches of the world.

  1. Wow that’s a very sobering image. It’s awful to see the rubbish that washes up on our beaches, and to hear about the floating rubbish masses in the oceans. I think it’s so easy for people not to think about it because it’s out of sight, out of mind. I’ve been following the progress of an Australian invention called the Seabin which is designed to collect floating rubbish, and will apparently be used by some governments around the world to clean up their harbours. It’s a good start but a huge task.
