Now in England for the annual vacation, weather is not so good. Cold and wet is the order of the day. Anyways nice to be back to visit family and friends.
Took a walk to an old part of the village where I grew up, “Cut Throat Lane”. When I was a youngster my friends and I used to take a our bikes up to the lane and ride up and down the hills. What fun and a excitement. The lane is a bridle-path for horses and walkers to enjoy the countryside. The lane is now very overgrown and has changed considerably. No more bikes are able to be ridden.
This is the view down the lane.
A few months ago I was visiting Bangkok and of course the camera was red hot from the daily clicking of the shutter. On this occasion I decided to visit the famous religious shrine at the Ratchaprasong intersection of Ratchadamri Road in Pathum Wan district of Bangkok, to take pictures of the people and the shrine during the day.
Below is taken from Wikipedia, just to give you a little insight.
The Erawan Shrine (Thai: ศาลพระพรหม, San Phra Phrom) is a Hindu shrine in Bangkok, Thailand, that houses a statue of Phra Phrom, the Thai representation of the Hindu creation god Brahma. A popular tourist attraction, it often features performances by resident Thai dance troupes, who are hired by worshippers in return for seeing their prayers at the shrine answered.
The pictures are in Black and White. In this format I thought the pictures show the atmosphere of the site.
Just got this in, so thought why wait until next week’s edition of bits and pieces for sending it out. These are the coolest photography links.
