For a great day out, not only for you but for the family, take a trip up or down the M6, turn onto the M54 and make for RAF Cosford. The museum is fantastic and is free entry to all the exhibits on show. The five exhibits are set out for easy viewing.

I took my daughter, who is about to study her IGCSE next school and one of her chosen subjects is history. She found the Cold War exhibition of benefit. Not just her, but I also learned a lot from the the in depth information about the East and West confrontations of the Cold War period.

The Royal Air Force has three sites: Cosford, London (Hendon) and Stafford. Although the Stafford site is by appointment only. This is RAF reserve collection store.
Well worth the visit. In fact I ran out of time, there was so much to see.
